2010 SURVEY RESULTS
At the beginning of February 2010, the Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) service encouraged residents to complete a survey to help guide the development and content of an updated regional solid waste management plan (RSWMP).
The RSWMP is a long-range plan for managing our garbage, recyclable materials and compostable materials. The survey that closed on March 5th, 2010 was an opportunity for residents to provide feedback on the existing waste management system and areas that they felt need to improve. The CSWM service would like to thank the residents that took the time to complete the survey.
The information collected will be compiled and analyzed then provided to the regional solid waste advisory committee for evaluation and as a starting point from which to develop the new plan. Over the next year, there will be additional opportunities through the public consultation process to provide comments.
