The vehicle scales at the entrance to the Campbell River Waste Management Centre are scheduled for required maintenance on Thursday, October 9, 2025 and Friday, October 10, 2025. Only one scale will be operational at a time while repairs are made.
Traffic control will be present to help facilitate vehicles entering and exiting, however please anticipate delays.
We request that, if possible, the public hold off on visiting the Campbell River Waste Management Centre until repairs are completed. We appreciate our community’s patience, cooperation and understanding while we work to improve this facility.
The Comox Strathcona Waste Management service area is located in the Coast Salish, Kwakwaka’wakw, and Nuu-chah-nulth territories.
Comox Strathcona Waste Management manages over 100,000 tonnes of waste and recycled material annually and oversees a number of diversion and education programs for the Strathcona and Comox Valley Regional Districts.
