What Can I Recycle?

Many unwanted items can be kept out of our landfills to conserve capacity and benefit our community and environment. Find out which items go where using the search tool below.

Many provincial recycling programs are limited to residential waste and may have size, quantity, labelling or other restrictions. Locations, hours, fees, and accepted items are subject to change. We recommend always checking a drop-off location's website or calling ahead.

Click on the magnifying glass labeled 'wizard'  to search for particular items.

Still Not sure if an item is recyclable or where to take it?

Contact the Recycling Council of BC Hotline at 1-800-667-4321 or info@rcbc.com. They can answer questions specific to your community

Keep It Clean

Do you ever wonder if it’s OK to recycle dirty or partially full containers? You’re not alone! Leaving containers dirty can contaminate other recyclables, which means they might not be recycled.
