Fire at Comox Valley Waste Management Centre
On Sunday, September 13, 2026 Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) became aware of a fire at the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre. Emergency services were notified and are attending at the scene. There is no current risk to residents. CSWM staff are liaising with all relevant government bodies.
- The Comox Valley Waste Management Centre will be open for regular operating hours on Monday, September 14, 2026.
- There will be no impact to curbside recycling, organics or garbage collection.
